Our Equestrian Farm Stay is a unique Bed and Breakfast experience with horses.

Are you seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway close to the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills? Do you love the smell of leather, clean straw, horses and being in the country? Our Equestrian Farm Stay offers a unique experience in a barn studio equipped with modern comforts to ensure a sound sleep guaranteed! There is a catch, you will have to share with our resident horses, Storm, Muschi, and Lofty!

Storm or Stormy Boy as he is affectionately known, is a beautiful Thoroughbred and related to the famous Secretariat, (one of the greatest race horses of all time!) although Storm didn’t manage to win a race! He is however a very good looking boy and loves to have his photo taken! Muschi is our star performer and loves to teach children to ride in the safety of our arena. Lofty is the new horse at the Farm Stay stables. He was gifted to us by SAPOL in April 2026 and is settling in well to his new home. Lofty has a special trick which he was taught whilst at the barracks - it is quite adorable and involves carrot treats! Storm also has his own trick (thanks to Lillian, one of our young guests!) You will just have to visit to see what those tricks are! Horse riding is available by appointment and weight restrictions apply.

The property is home to some very cheeky Australian miniature goats - in fact there are six goats in total - Benji, Billie (the only girl!), Froggi, Rabbi, Chocki and Jazzi. They love interacting with young children and are usually up to all sorts of mischief and shenanigans. Our two border collies, Maisie and Matilda, keep them on their toes. Our guests love spending time with the young goats and they are always happy for extra attention (and treats)!

The property is situated in the foothills of the Mt Lofty ranges and the studio is rustic, clean and comfortable and will suit adventurous couples, single travellers and families with young children . The studio contains a Queen bed, leather sofa and small kitchenette with microwave oven and fridge (no indoor cooking facilities) as well as double bunk zone. The outdoor kitchen and dining area is great to relax and enjoy the peaceful tranquillity and stunning sunsets with a glass of wine or a card game with the family.  The shower block is located within a short walk from the studio and has a washer/dryer for longer stays.

The location is ideal for exploring the Barossa Valley or the Adelaide Hills and is less than five minutes’ drive from local services and the historic town of Gawler. (Yes, pizza delivery is possible!)  The surrounding country consists of the northern foothills and further north, the farming districts of South Australia's mid north.

Come and explore Uleybury - with its rolling hills, expansive views, stunning sunsets, native birds and wildlife, peace and tranquillity. (and the horses, of course!)
